The Student Activities Office (SAO) located in the Husky Union Building (HUB 232) has advisors and peer assistants ready to support you in your out-of-class Husky experiences! Whether you are trying to get involved or need support with your RSO, our team can help guide you and answer your questions.

How to find your SAO Advisor

Every RSO is assigned an SAO advisor for support with their RSO. To find your RSO advisor look at your Huskylink profile under SAO Advisor. If your RSO does not have an SAO advisor assigned, please contact saoreg@uw.edu

RSO Advising & Support 

Front Desk Support

Our Front Desk staff can help you with basic RSO questions. 

  • Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm  
  • Location: HUB 232 

SAP Advisor Drop-in Advising

Drop-in advising is a time for students to meet with an SAO advisor for quick questions. 

    • Please note that each advisor’s schedule vary and sometimes advisors are out of the office unexpectedly. We recommend double checking with your advisor that they will be available.

Advising Appointments - SAO Advisor

  • In addition to drop-in hours, we offer 30 minute advising appointments in-person or virtually via Zoom. We strongly recommend an appointment if you have more in depth questions about your RSO. 
  • You can schedule an appointment with your RSO advisor by contacting them directly or emailing sao@uw.edu

  • Provide free advice and guidance on event and program planning
  • Event fund procurement
  • Fundraising ideas
  • Organizational growth and development of RSOs
  • Guide students through the University structure to work within the system
  • Help with membership recruitment and retention
