HUB Advertising - Donation BinDonation Bins

For philanthropic causes, UW departments or Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) may request the placement of a donation bin in the HUB at no cost. 

The HUB allows one donation campaign at a time to be placed beside the Information Desk. Availability is a first-come-first-served basis and must be scheduled through Mazevo.  

Donation campaigns must abide by the following regulations: 

Maximum Campaign Durations:  

  • A maximum of 1 bin per organization is allowed per quarter 
  • Due to spacing limitations, a maximum of 2 organizations may run campaigns at a given time.  
  • Campaigns cannot exceed 3 weeks. 

RSOs  

  • An approved Fundraising Permit issued by the Student Activities Office to HUB Event Services is required.  

Receptables:  

  • Organizers must provide a bin for donations.  
  • Receptacles cannot be larger than 3’x3’. 
  • The donation bin must clearly disclose the name of the organizers and the dates of the campaign. No additional freestanding signage is permitted surrounding the bin; it must be affixed.  

Managing Donations: 

  • Organizers must monitor the bin regularly and empty content when needed if it is nearing capacity.  
  • Donation bin must be retrieved within two business days of campaign end date.  
  • The HUB reserves the right to dispose of any items/displays not removed by the organization within the stated deadline.  

Violation of any of the regulations above is grounds for reservation cancellation.  

How to Request & Reserve 

Requests for HUB Donation Bins are approved by HUB Event and Information Services and must be submitted via the HUB Reservation Website. Please follow the below steps to complete your reservation request. 

  • Please enter hours of 9am-5pm for your request 
  • Only select Monday – Friday; do not select holidays 
  • Select “advertising” as the room. This will prompt questions for a donation bin.  
  • Answer the questions as prompted. Please note, there will be a question regarding billing. Please fill in an answer as it is a required question for all spaces. There is no charge so this will not be relevant to your reservation.
