Artist Description: MFA, Painting + Drawing, University of Washington, 2017

Location: 1st floor, Main lounge

Description: This painting is influenced and focused on immigrant workers. The artist is interested in the vulnerabilities that take place within this minority group. Class-based exploitation, physical and emotional sufferings, and the invisibility and dehumanization that these workers confront in the United States. Through portraiture the artist shares with the viewers their humanity and vulnerability. Hoping that the viewer can appreciate them, and begin to recognize the contributions they make to this country.
