UWAA Fund for RSOs
University of Washington Alumni Association (UWAA) Fund for Registered Student Organizations has been created to allocate money to support the events, programs, and activities of Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). The Fund is intended to support the ability of RSOs to enrich campus culture, foster student empowerment, and enhance community impact. The funding is distributed through the Student Activities Office.
How much money is available?
The maximum funding available per academic year is $500 per RSO. The SAO funding limit is $500 per event, so multiple RSOs will not receive separate funding for the same event.
Who can apply?
Any Registered Student Organization currently registered with the Student Activities Office is eligible to apply. Requests are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How to Apply for Funding
- REVIEW all funding details and policies prior to applying.
- COMPLETE the funding application. There is a single application for all funds, so you can apply to multiple funds with on application form.
- SUBMIT completed form. Forms must submitted by one of the Group Administrators listed on the HuskyLink roster.
- SCHEDULE a meeting with your SAO Adviser to discuss details of your Event. Your application will be reviewed once you have met with your SAO Adviser.
- NOTIFICATION will be sent via email when a decision has been made. Note: notifications may take ten business days or longer following reviews. Please factor this timing into event planning when requesting funds.
Funding Requirements
- Work with the assigned SAO Adviser to receive the allocation
- Place logos for SAO Logo and Alumni Association on promotional materials (RSOs are also encouraged to acknowledge sponsors at events)
- Provide SAO with copies of promotional materials
- RSOs are encouraged to provide SAO with 3 photos from the funded activity
- Funds shall be spent according to UW, state and SAO policies
- All requests are subject to review and approval by the Student Activities Office
